When Should I Order Chocolate Favours

Wedding Monogram Focus

Whatever the occasion is you should be able to order your chocolate favours well ahead of the event - several days, months or years. Be sure to keep the following points below in mind when placing an order:

1. If you're ordering the chocolate favours from a very big company be sure to speak with the customer service manager. Record your phone call if necessary and possible or at least make note of the details. You may also request an email confirming all the major points.

2. Get a receipt for your chocolate favours. Keep it in a safe place that you will remember.

3. Read the terms and conditions of your purchase carefully. What happens if the prices change between the time you order and the time you need the chocolates? Will you be able to review your order especially the design closer to the time? Is there a cancellation policy?

4. Confirm the shelf life of the chocolates. How long will they be from their expiry date when you receive them?

There must be other points to consider as well. Please share any others that have occurred to you while reading this or you feel I have left out.

Thanks a lot for this Roger. You are obviously well experienced so could give more insight and answer questions which I think people might have such as can I return chocolates.

The most important thing to remember is that all chocolate has a 'best before' life and some, like Belgian chocolates, are normally no more than 5 to 6 months.
Orders place online for food products like wedding favours are exempt from the Distance Selling Regulations and you are only legally allowed to return them for a refund if they are faulty. You cannot simply change your mind and expect to return your table gifts.

Finally, it is a good idea to get a sample of the item before you order it to make sure that it is the right colour and style. Most suppliers will offset any postage you pay for samples against your actual order.

Many suppliers can also supply personalised wedding favours and these will turn them into something really special.
